Come join the fun as we begin our new Eleanor Burns Quilts.

"Day and Night" Quilt by Eleanor Burns--This class will begin on Tuesday, Sept.14 (Then every other Tuesday).
This is a MAGICAL quilt sewn from strips.  The Magic of this quilt is that another smaller quilt and a table runner are made with the left overs.

This is a beginner friendly class.

QUILTS of VALOR  "SEW  IN"

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our first "Quilts of Valor" event!   We are also a "drop-off" point for your QoV quilts and other donations. We will see that Barbara from So Cal QoV gets them.

All completed quilts are donated to wounded veterans returning from deployment overseas. Thanks Angela for the pictures.  Click here to see more photos of our fun and productive day.

1 MILLION Pillowcase Challenge »

 

 

 

 

Join us in the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge and make a difference in YOUR community.  BERNINA is a sponsor for this year-long national initiative to create and donate pillowcases to local charities.  Our pledge is for 500.  Help us meet or exceed that goal.

Dig into your stash and make some at home or------- Come sew here - A good chance to try out one of our new machines, or sew in the back room (when no class is scheduled) with your machine.  Pattern is available in the store or follow the links above.

ATTENTION BOY & GIRL SCOUT TROOPS:  How would you like to MAKE A DIFFERENCE?  Join Upland Vac & Sew in reaching their goal of 500 pillowcases for local shelters and other non-profit organizations.  Interested?  Contact Lou or Rosalie at 909 949 4884. 

Scouts over 9 years old welcomed.  Bring an adult and we will help you sew the pillowcases.  Patterns are available in the store.

Quilt Club - 1st Saturday of the month 9:30-11:30am -- Lots of sharing and demo/lecture of new ideas and quilting techniques with Vicky Hommerding and Diane Pagenkopp

Software Sampler Club - 2nd Saturday of the month 10am-1pm (new day and time) -- Bring your computer for hands-on learning of Bernina Designer (Embroidery) Software. You will receive a CD with the day's lessons with Judy Reese

Hoop Club - 2nd Wednesday of the month 6:30-8:30pm - Lots of sharing and demo/lecture of new ideas and machine embroidery techniques with Diane Pagenkopp and Vicky Hommerding

Happy Hooper Club - 3rd Saturday of the month 10am-1pm (NO MEETING IN JANUARY, 2010).  This club meets the third Saturday of the month, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at least ten months of the year. The Happy Hooper Club is all embroidery. Learn new techniques, unusual fibers and great projects. Scheduled projects include the following*       Stand Alone Flower,  Embroider on Paper,  Color Study (Lecture/Demo), Easy Stitch Applique, Total in the Hoop Project, Christmas in July, Framed Screen Wire Project, Heavy Thread/Bobbin Work,  Embroidery on Knit Sweater, Embroidery with Twin Needle.  with Carolyn Clark

NEW -- 830 Club - 4th Saturday of the month 10am-12:30pm - Learn to use your new 830 machine to its fullest potential with Donna Bebensee

Thanks to all who have sewn & donated pillowcases for the "One Million Pillowcase Countdown.  We are approaching our goal and want to meet it, but we will be even happier if we exceed it

If you don't have time to actually sew a pillowcase, you can donate fabric for someone else to sew.  The store will still donate fabric for groups who come sew at the store.

Advanced Bernina Software Lessons - (NEW DATE)  August 17 - Quilting, August 24 - Photo Snap, August 31 - Digitizing, September 7 - Applique.  All classes are held at 10am-Noon and are $15 each.  Come to as many as you need.  With Judy Reese

Photo Album - September 6 -- 9am-4pm. $30.  This wall quilt is the perfect spot to store your cherished photos, favorite embroideries or special fabrics.  This Quilts With A Twist pattern is deceptively easy. Remember, your album pages will give 3D effect if your fabrics are dark and darker in a color family. It’s like scrapbooking with fabric!!  more info
