Wine Gift Bag & Star Candle Mat

Sewing machine in good working order, remember to bring the cords, foot pedal, and extra bobbins.

You should know how to operate your machine before you come to class. Remember to bring the manual.

Please be sure your sewing machine has been recently cleaned and oiled.

Basic Sewing Supplies

Rotary cutter with a new or fairly new blade

A 6.5” x 24” ruler

Fabric & Supplies

For the Wine Gift Bag:

1 Fat Quarter for the main section of bag

8” x 16” piece for the cuff

Ύ yard ribbon 1/2” or Ύ” wide

Thread to match

 

For the Star Candle Mat:

You will need 4 fabrics. They should have high contrast.

12” x 12” for the center section - or a fat quarter

5” strip by width of fabric for the “points” of the star

2” strip by width of fabric for the 1st frame of the star

4” strip by width of fabric for the 2nd frame of the star

12” x 12” for the backing - or a fat quarter

Batting, this should be thin, about 15” square

 

 

Please feel free to bring a beverage, lunch or snacks. Don’t forget to bring your reading glasses if needed, a sweater and anything else you may need to make your sewing day perfect. If you want a pictorial record of your class bring your camera.
