BMC: Big Machine Operation Class

Get the most out of your sewing machine by learning all the features it has to offer. The more you know, the more you sew. If your machine has a memory this is the class for you.

Ryan's Case for Smiles Volunteer Sew Day

This is a volunteer sewing day for anyone interested in helping out a worthy cause!

Ryan’s Case for Smiles is one the few volunteer organizations solely dedicated to helping kids feel better to heal better. While other great organizations focus on research and finding a cure, we work to improve the quality of life of children and their families as they undergo treatment.

We will get together and create as many pillowcases as we can for these wonderful kids! You do not have to know how to sew to help. We need help measuring, cutting, pressing, and pinning also! We will have sewing machines available for use, no need to bring one in.

Bring any fabrics you have in your stash that you are willing to donate. We will donate fabric and supplies as well. Let's work together as a community to help some kids out.

Quilts of Valor 2024

This group makes quilts for returning Vets. They meet here once a month to coordinate presentation times, learn new patterns, and sometimes sew. Every member is part of the process; some sew, some bind, some cut, and some cheer. Everyone works to their strengths to support a worthy cause. Come in and see how you can get involved.

Quilts of Valor Foundation began in 2003 with a dream, literally a dream. Founder Catherine Roberts’ son Nat was deployed in Iraq.

According to Catherine: The dream was as vivid as real life. I saw a young man sitting on the side of his bed in the middle of the night, hunched over. The permeating feeling was one of utter despair. I could see his war demons clustered around, dragging him down into an emotional gutter. Then, as if viewing a movie, I saw him in the next scene wrapped in a quilt. His whole demeanor changed from one of despair to one of hope and well-being. The quilt had made this dramatic change. The message of my dream was: Quilts = Healing.

Join Software Club to get the most out of your investment.

EMB: Embroidery Machine Operation
